A big thank you to all of you who have been enthusiastic about following this blog! :) In truth, it makes me feel very loved!
This past week has been one of connection with friends and family and preparation for the adventure to come; however, in all honesty I do believe this is the calm before the storm. Next week no doubt I will find myself running those last minute errands, weighing and reweighing my bag to see just how much I can squeeze into that precious 50 pounds, and continuing my reading.
As I look back over the last month, I have realized how much has miraculously fallen into place. I rejoice in the faithfulness of God, even when an inexperienced and somewhat procrastination-prone person like me pulls together an internship. I praise God that the logistics of my travels are working out and over 75% of my finances have been raised. Please continue to pray that the rest will come in this next week!
When I think of my blog, my first thoughts are about you. You see, this blog isn't really about me, it's about us. Our relationship, our connection as His body, our mutual support of one another and excitement about His work.
So, that being said, I have ideas about the kinds of posts I will create--anthropological anecdotes, stories of His humor and grace, struggles I will encounter and the like--but beyond this, what would you like to hear about?

I am sure that you will cover all the aspects that are important for the trip. So I was thinking of the less significant things. It would be really interesting to be able to see the culture and the lifestyle that you are experiencing through pictures. I hope that you have a camera and maybe are allowed to post some up? Maybe? Or will that be later?
ReplyDeleteGood thought! I plan on taking a camera and will try to periodically post them up. The frequency of this will depend on if I am accessing the internet through my computer or a public one. I will do my best! Thanks!
